Susan is a Professor in the Departments of Community Health and Epidemiology and Medicine at Dalhousie University. An epidemiologist by training, her research is the areas of chronic diseases and healthy aging. She is currently one of three principal investigators responsible for the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging, a national study following 50,000 men and woman for 20 years to examine the multiple facets of aging.

Susan joined the Northwood Board of Governors in September 2008. She is a member of the Executive and the Finance and Audit Committees of the Board. She is also a member of Northwood’s Research Advisory Council.
